October 12 – 16, 2026, Bochum, Germany

The European Cyber Security Challenge 2026 is Europe’s largest cybersecurity competition, coming to Bochum this year.

From the webpage:
“National teams face off in Jeopardy and Attack-Defense challenges spanning web security, reverse engineering, cryptography, binary exploitation and more. Three days of non-stop hacking.

The top young talents from national qualifiers across 35+ countries — selected from a pool of over 30,000 participants — compete as national teams across multiple cybersecurity domains.

Organized by NFITS e.V. (Network for IT-Security) in cooperation with ENISA and ECCC. The event features challenges across multiple disciplines over five days in October 2026.

Located in the heart of Germany’s Ruhr region, Bochum combines rich industrial heritage with cutting-edge academic research — home to one of Europe’s leading cybersecurity research centers.”
